Tryout for the Rockers
Annual Rockers tryouts are held in the fall. Girls who are interested in playing softball for the Rockers should participate in tryouts at the appropriate time for their age group. Registration/warm ups begin a half-hour prior to each scheduled try out. Girls should bring a softball glove, helmet, bat and cleats/tennis shoes and wear workout clothing. Tennis shoes will be required if try outs are moved indoors due to the weather. Teams are made up primarily of girls who live within the Appleton East school district. Players are selected based on their try out performance, and all final rosters are approved by the South Appleton Softball Association Board of Directors. Players who are selected and their families must be willing to travel on weekends to play in tournaments. In addition, each family must volunteer at the Rocker Kick-Off Classic Tournament.
Costs
Registration Fee: 10U – $300; 12U and up – $350
Required Helmet: $70
Required Jersey: $75 (includes both jerseys)
Required Pants: $35

2025 Tryouts will be held Sunday, August 18, 2024 at Appleton East High School- JV softball field
Times listed below for age groups.
3:00pm – 4:30pm – 14U, 16U, & 18U teams
4:30pm – 5:00pm – optional pitching/catching for all ages
5:00pm – 6:30pm – 8U, 10U, & 12U teams
In case of inclement weather and if we do have to cancel you will receive a email with cancellation information.
Players unable to attend the August 18th, 2024 tryouts may tryout on the make-up date – Sunday, August 25, 2024 from 12:30pm-1:30pm at Appleton East High School- JV softball field. Please contact Tryout Coordinator at [email protected] if you plan on attending the make-up session on August 25th, 2024.
